As part of the interactive music workshop Carnival of Animals - Sing, dance, play, listen! together with the moderator and the pianist, the audience will actively participate in the performance of selected movements of one of the most favorite compositions for young people, the fantastic suite Carnival of Animals by the French composer Camille Saint-Saëns. Along with the author's song, they will be introduced to the rules of concert etiquette, and then, through various methods and activities, help Noa gather the animals in the ark before the great flood, which inspired Saint-Saëns for this work. They will imitate the roar of a lion and the song of a bird, look for a cuckoo in the forest by active listening, become paleontologists and discover fossils with a harpsichord, and use their body as an instrument. In doing so, they will get to know the concert piano in a live performance, learn the culture of singing, some of the musical components, the difference between instrumental and vocal-instrumental music, all in the appropriate environment of the concert space of Salon Jakov Gotovac.

The interactive music workshop Camille Saint-Saëns Carnival of Animals: From Idea to Composition will bring the composer's calling closer to the students of the course through a fantastic suite loved by classical music lovers of all ages. How Camille Saint-Saëns got the idea for this zoological fantasy, which existing compositions inspired him, which musical quotations he used and which of the contemporary composers his work left a mark on, the audience will find out by actively participating in the performance of the selected pieces. They will imitate the slow gait of elephants and adopt the meter, dance the kankan in different tempos, outline the melody with their movements and enrich the original composition with body music. In doing so, they will get to know the concert piano in a live performance, repeat the rules of concert etiquette, some of the musical components, the suite as a musical genre, and all in the appropriate environment of the Salonava Gotovac concert space.
