Anja Papa Peranović (1994) graduated in singing summa cum laude in the class of prof. art. dr. sc. Berislav Jerković and piano at the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek, earning the title of Master of Music. She is currently employed as an assistant at the Department of Musical Arts of the Academy of Arts and Culture and is a student of the artistic-interdisciplinary postgraduate university study of Culture and Art at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek.

So far, she has performed a number of notable solo roles in operas. Così fan tutte, The elixir of love, The Feast of Figaro, La Bohème, Gianni Schicchi, The magic flute, Don Giovanni, The servant mistress i Rinaldo. She has collaborated with renowned conductors and orchestras, including the Szeged Symphony Orchestra, the Pécs Symphony Orchestra, the New Trinity Baroque Orchestra, and the Luka Sorkočević Chamber Orchestra. She has performed at numerous domestic and international festivals, including the Osijek Cultural Summer, Osijek Youth Summer, Hvar Summer Festival, Skopje Summer, Amadeus Fest, Štip Cultural Summer, BitFest, KotorArt, Sarajevo Winter, Bled Festival, Rossi Fest in Belgrade, and the Sufmato Series.

On the concert stage, she particularly stands out with her recitals of solo songs and as a soprano in the sacred repertoire. She participated in the premiere of the cantata With Citharis Octochordis by Croatian composer Blaženko Juračić, in performances of Bach The Passion of John, Orff Carmina Burana with the Pannonian Philharmonic and in the oratorio Stabat Mater Bruno Vlahek.

She recorded a soundtrack with the main role of Ružica in the first Croatian opera for children. Queen of the Forest by composer Franjo Štefanović, conducted by Antoaneta Radočaj-Jerković, with soloists and choirs from the Institute for Choral Music Polifonija and pianist Davor Dedić, published by Croatia Records. She also appears as a soloist on the recording Horizon by composer Dalibor Bukvić, released by Navona Records.

She is the winner of the Gustav Mahler award, which enabled her to perform at the festival of the same name in the Czech Republic with a program of solo songs. She trained as an artist at the Mozarteum University Salzburg with prof. Michele Creider, at prof. Claudia Visca at the international singing course in Samobor, with Jane Pastorkova at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and with contemporary opera soloists Chen Reiss and Anna Samuil. In 2024, she participated in the Lied Academy in Žďár nad Sázavou in the Czech Republic and in the 47th Stuttgarter Meisterklasse für Lied at the Internationale Hugo-Wolf-Akademie in Stuttgart, where she worked with prof. Birgid Steinberger and prof. Marcelo Amaral.

She is the recipient of the Dean's and Rector's Awards for artistic achievements during her studies. She regularly performs as an opera, concert and choral soloist in Croatia and abroad, including performances in Serbia, Italy, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Jordan, France, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Spain, Slovenia and Germany.
