Split cellist Kajana Pačko and musicians from the Gewandhaus Orchestra bring us part of the program that they performed with great success in the Gewandhaus Hall (Leipzig) on the 100th anniversary of Dora Pejačević's death on March 5, 2023. The program begins with the last piece in Dora Pejačević's oeuvre, her string quartet in C major, which the composer completed a few months before her untimely death at the age of 37. In addition to Dora Pejačević's quartet, these excellent musicians will also perform the virtuoso quartet in D major by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, whose second movement "Andante Cantabile" is often performed in an arrangement by the composer himself for cello solo and string orchestra.
