Alejandro Hurtado, flamenco guitar

"Having worked with the best guitarists of his time throughout his professional career, starting with Niño Ricardo and including the brilliant Paco de Lucía, I can attest to the immense guitar abilities of Alejandro Hurtado and I have no doubt that he is destined to occupy a privileged place in the world of flamenco guitar" , Antonio Fernández Díaz, "Fosforito".

At the age of 9, he started playing classical guitar with Marc Uced. Soon after, he entered the Professional Conservatory of Music and Dance "Vicente Lillo Cánovas" in Alicante, his hometown. Along with classical guitar in the class of prof. Raúl Juan Ruíz, he simultaneously learns flamenco guitar from Pedro Alarcón, Roberto Sabater, David Cerreduela, and later from the legendary guitarist Arturo Cerreduela "El Nani", from whom he learned the secrets of the Caño Roto guitar. Over the years, he was taught by the greatest flamenco guitar masters: Manolo Sanlúcar, José Antonio Rodríguez, El Viejín, Juan Manuel Cañizares, Rafael Riqueni, Jerónimo Maya, Manolo Franco, José Luis Montón...

After finishing high school, he continues to study flamenco guitar and enters the High Music Conservatory in Córdoba for further studies with professors Paco Serrano and Manolo Franco, while he continues to study classical guitar with prof. Pablo Barón. In 2017, he finished his studies with honors and an outstanding award for completing his studies. The same qualification was obtained at the master's degree in flamenco at ESMUC (Barcelona).

His immense talent has earned him more than a dozen awards. He won his first at the age of just 12, culminating in the most important award for concert flamenco guitar: the Bordón Minero, won in 2017 after several years in which this award was declared vacant.
