Due to the dialogue between the present and the past, the ensemble was created in 1997 Dialogs musicologists and singers, Katarina Livljanic, a professor at the prestigious Schola Cantorum in Basel, whose programs revive, often in the form of performances, the musical past as it could have been, basing its performances on a careful study of the music of early eras, especially of the Middle Ages. Among the many programs, of which they are remembered Tondal's vision, Terra Adriatica, Heretical angels, Baarlam and Jehoshaphat, Dalmatic, as well as the newer one Hecuba, it stands out Judita. U Judith revives the mystical and archaic, ancient musical-linguistic code, preserved through the centuries in the Dalmatian folk song - it is about setting to music the text that marked the beginning of the Croatian written word, judith Marko Marulić, whose five hundredth anniversary we are celebrating this year. Judita, a kind of contemporary church mystery, is based on reconstructions of various Gregorian, Beneventan and Glagolitic sources of medieval Dalmatia and music composed according to the preserved oral tradition of Glagolitic singing. It was created in 2006 and since then it has been performed with great success on numerous world and domestic stages.
