The Tijardović Chamber Orchestra was founded in Split in 2023 on the initiative of several music enthusiasts, primarily the director of the Croatian House Split, Vanessa Kleve, and the conductor Hari Zlodra. It was founded with the idea of creating a permanent chamber ensemble that would provide support to Split soloists, music students, guest musicians and singers, and develop a concerto, symphonic and chamber-orchestral repertoire.
The ensemble's members are prominent string soloists, professors from the Academy of Arts of the University of Split, teachers from the Josip Hatze Music School, and members of the Croatian National Theatre Split Opera Orchestra. The orchestra is led by conductor Hari Zlodre.
In just a few seasons, the Tijardović Chamber Orchestra has emerged as an important new factor in Split's musical life, with an emphasis on collaboration with local artists, the development of the local concert scene, and the continuous formation of a representative chamber orchestra of the city of Split.
