Sharon Kovacs is a Dutch singer and songwriter born in 1990 in Baarl, whose dark, emotionally charged soul style has brought a new voice to the European music scene.

After studying at the Rock City Institute in Eindhoven (2013), she debuted in 2014 with the EP My Love, partly recorded in Cuba, which became a hit in Europe.

Her debut album Shades of Black (2015) charted in 36 countries and spawned the hit single "Diggin'", while her unique combination of theatrical soul-jam and raw expression has garnered over 60 million YouTube views.

Kovacs has won a number of awards (e.g. NPO 3FM “Serious Talent”, European Border Breakers Award), and has performed at leading festivals such as North Sea Jazz, Lowlands, Pinkpop, Sziget and Glastonbury.

In late 2018, she released her second album Cheap Smell, and in early 2023, she released Child of Sin, a powerful and introspective album steeped in personal themes, including a duet with Till Lindemann from Rammstein.
