Laibach is a Slovenian avant-garde band formed in 1980 in Trbovlje, known for its industrial sound and provocative aesthetics that use motifs of totalitarianism, militarism and political symbolism. During their career, the band has gone from a raw industrial expression to a more layered sound with covers of famous songs, and are particularly known for albums such as Opus Dei, NATO and Spectre. Laibach has become one of the most influential bands from the former Yugoslavia and an important symbol of Slovenian alternative culture.
