Music inspired by the Spanish atmosphere in a vivid pastiche of music, poetry and dance, performed by mezzo-soprano Terezija Kusanović and her collaborators and guests, evokes warm nights in Spanish gardens, filled with scents and colors, which inspired countless masterpieces of musical literature. The most important names of Spanish music of the 19th and 20th centuries form the backbone of the program - the exotic Nights in the Spanish Gardens, excerpts from the ballet Love as a Magician and the cycle Seven Spanish Folk Songs by Manuel de Falla are interwoven in arrangements in which the voice is joined by piano and guitar, and a flamenco dancer on the podium. In the famous Asturias (Leyenda) of the founder of the Spanish national style, Isaac Albéniz, the guitarist's performance will be enriched by a flamenco dance performance, as well as the distinctive Spanish classical songs of Fernando Obradors. The program also includes elegant songs about majas and majos, typical Spanish girls and young men that inspire the vocal lyricism of Enrique Granados, and the Cinco canciones negras cycle of the exotic acrid expression of the composer Xavier Montsalvatge.
