Under the high patronage of the European Parliament, from April 3 to 5, 2025, the largest European musical event since Croatia's independence will be held in Split - the 13th European Blues Challenge, or the 13th European blues competition.
The event starts the day before the competition, on April 2, 2025, in the Croatian House Split as part of the "Split Blues Forces" program. The original blues forces of Split will be presented to the domestic audience and foreign blues professionals.
Winners of national competitions, selected representatives and top performers from 21 European countries will perform in the Croatian National Theater Split during three competition days.
The city of Split and many other Croatian cultural institutions have recognized the importance of this international event, which will be a unique and magnificent musical spectacle with numerous accompanying contents, conferences, additional concerts, exhibitions, educational music workshops and a specialized blues fair.
On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, the day before the start of the 13th European Blues Challenge, a concert entitled "Split Blues Forces" will be held at the Croatian House, where the original blues forces of Split and their guests, winners of past Croatian blues competitions and a long-time friend of the Croatian Blues Forces from Italy, will be presented to the local audience and foreign blues professionals.
The stage will be taken by Charlie & Bell Blues Experience, Teo Aničić, Harpoon Blues Band with their guests, Mike Sponza & Tomislav Goluban and finally Trio Trabacool. The concert starts at 20 pm sharp.
Additionally, on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Croatian Home, Predrag Lovrinčević Lovre and Ivan Cinotti Cima will hold a blues workshop "Blues in the School" for elementary school students.
