Jedinstvo, one of the oldest and most trophy-winning folklore ensembles in Croatia, invites you to a unique musical evening in which their celebrated orchestras will be the main speakers!
This special concert brings us a double musical pleasure. The first part of the program will feature the School Orchestra, which will take us through warm Mediterranean and Dalmatian motifs with its performances. The young hopes of the ensemble will revive the eternal melodies of Zdenko Runjić, traditional dance rhythms such as Trogir šotić and Dubrovnik contradance, as well as famous Italian, Greek and South American ethno classics.
In the second part of the evening, the experienced A-Orchestra takes the stage. Their repertoire is a real treat for orchestral music lovers. Through their recognizable sound, they will take us from iconic film themes from James Bond i Godmother until passionate rumbas and tangos.
Come, support our Split musicians and enjoy the richness of the sound of FA Jedinstvo!
Folklore Ensemble "Jedinstvo" from Split was founded back in 1919 and is one of the oldest and most successful folklore societies in Croatia. In more than a century of long and rich history, over 15.000 Split residents have passed through its sections, preserving the priceless treasure of Croatian and world cultural heritage from oblivion.
Along with the recognizable dance ensemble, the pride of the company has been its mandolin-tambura orchestras since the very beginning. Thanks to the quality of its work, its own folklore and mandolin school, and the enthusiasm of its leaders, Jedinstvo has been educating new generations of top musicians for decades. The ensemble has won countless domestic and international awards, and with its performances around the world – including the historic one at London's Royal Albert Hall – it has permanently put Split on the map of top amateur and folklore creativity.
