Peter Pan – a play for children, B. Bjelinski, ballet (age: 3+)
The musical and theatrical work "Peter Pan" in an attractive outfit that will tickle children's imagination brings a dance story about curiosity, courage, growing up and the power of true friendship. It is inspired by JM Barrie's novel and numerous adaptations that celebrate the childish courage and loyalty of Peter Pan, the little girl Wendy and her brothers, and the fairy Tinker Bell in their fight against the evil Captain Hook. The acclaimed choreographer Remus Dimache and his dance studio are building the story that Peter Pan, the eternal boy, deserves - from children to children. The beautiful music of Bruno Bjelinski will embody the famous sentences of the boy who does not want to grow up: "I am youth! I am joy!" The synergy of excellent music, literature, dance and art will achieve a dual purpose - to entertain and to educate.
Ivo and Jakov – from the Split Ghetto to the world stage, musical puppet show (age: 3+)
Ivo and Jakov, two seemingly ordinary boys born almost at the same time in the center of Split, could not have imagined that they would become the "center of the retinue" thanks to their musical talent. A warm, emotional and visually attractive performance about the childhood years of two Croatian composing geniuses (in the year dedicated to them) will show that their art began to grow from the realm of pure and unencumbered children's play. Through the performance, the audience will be able to learn about the incredible peculiarities of the biographies of the two composers, enjoy the wit of the puppet show, but also sing some famous arias (and some that we still want to make famous) from Tijardović's and Gotovac's operas and operettas. The play "Ivo and Jakov - from the Split Ghetto to the World Stage" is inseparable from children's literature and the picture book of the same name by the Croatian Home, which will faithfully accompany it as an eternal memory to which children can constantly return and realize - the sonorous joy of music often arises very simply - between two streets of best friends, in unburdenedness, play, friendship and love for their hometown and people.
Little conductors – composition workshop for children / Ivana Bandalo Benzon (age: 5+)
Students are introduced to selected works by Ivo Tijardović. After listening and recognizing the basic musical elements, they will learn to show them with soundpainting signs and will soon become composers themselves. Together we will create sound images of Split, where Tijardović also created - the sound of the sea, the fish market, festivals, crowds, summer... Each child will have the opportunity to lead a group and be part of it, which develops imagination, concentration, a sense of belonging and togetherness. This workshop is suitable for all children regardless of their musical background.
The world of Tijradović's costumes – art workshop for children / Anamarija Bandalo (age: 5+)
Students are introduced to the most famous characters from Ivo Tijardović's operettas, such as Floramya, Mirko, Šjor File and others. After a short introduction about the author, his characters and the time in which his works were created, the children will design costumes for the selected characters according to their own imagination. The goal is to encourage creativity, understanding the characters' character and connecting musical and performing arts with visual expression through drawing, color, shape and texture.
Peter Pan – sound and imagination from Neverland, music workshop / Ivana Bandalo Benzon (age: 5+)
The workshop introduces children to the world of Peter Pan through musical play, movement and improvisation. Starting from familiar motifs from the story (pirates, fairies, magic, flying), participants create sound images using the body, voice and simple instruments. Children explore how emotions and spaces can sound, learn basic conductor gestures and together create musical scenes. The workshop does not require prior musical knowledge and is adapted to children of different abilities.
The Road to Neverland, creative literary workshop / Jelena Pervan (age: 5+)
The interdisciplinary workshop Journey to Neverland is intended for lower elementary school students. Conceptually, it draws on the beloved children's novel, also a reading title, about Peter Pan – the boy who didn't want to grow up. The workshop consists of several creative and interconnected activities that introduce children to the magical world of the fictional land of Neverland and encourage them to create their own musical and literary works together, inspired by the story. The goal of the workshop is to introduce children to the world of the story and encourage them to engage in creative expression and collaborative learning through play, movement, rhythm and the creation of new content.
