
Leona Sever (2002) was born in Zagreb and spent most of her life in Virovitica, where she attended high school for economics and began her vocal education in the field of solo singing with teacher Kristina Domović-Veličan. Already during her high school years, she achieved notable results in competitions, winning awards in solo, chamber and solfeggio disciplines.
She particularly distinguished herself at the competitions Daleki akordi, Lav Mirski, Angel Voice, Stojan Stojanov Gančev, Croatian Society of Music and Dance Pedagogues, and Sonus op. 5.
In 2021, she enrolled in the study of music pedagogy in Split, and in 2022, she began studying solo singing in the class of Prof. Terezija Kusanović. In 2024, she won first prize at the Lav Mirski International Singing Competition.
She participated in numerous projects, among which the opera stands out. Gianni Schicchi, in which she performed the role of Nella, as well as a collaboration with the Croatian National Theatre Split in which she performed the role of the First Boy. She actively performs at concerts within the academy and outside it.
She complements her artistic training by participating in seminars with renowned educators and artists, including Kristina Beck-Kukavčić, Martina Zadro, Sonja Runje and Snežana Nene Brzaković.
