Tomislav Stanešić (2008) is a Croatian accordionist from Velika Gorica. He attends the Franjo Lučić Art School in Velika Gorica, accordion department, and simultaneously the Velika Gorica Gymnasium. He began playing music at the age of ten, inspired by his family environment and a particular interest in keyboard instruments.
He took his first steps on the accordion with the support of his father, who plays the accordion as an amateur, and then enrolled in an elementary music school as an extracurricular student in the 2019/2020 school year. Due to his exceptional progress, he completed several grades at an accelerated pace, and as a particularly gifted student, at the suggestion of his teacher and with the approval of the Teachers' Council, he was able to enroll directly in the first grade of a secondary music school without having completed the sixth grade of an elementary music school.
During his education, he regularly participated in school, regional, national and international competitions, where he won numerous first prizes and achieved notable results.
Along with the accordion, he also developed a strong interest in the organ. He has been self-taught and has been working as an organist for a number of years at the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish in Pokupsko, where he regularly participates in the liturgical musical life of the community. He expresses his desire for additional formal education in the field of the organ as an important part of his future artistic development.
