
Dan Bantić (2003) is a Croatian clarinetist and a fourth-year undergraduate student at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien in Vienna, in the class of Prof. Alexander Neubauer. He was born and raised in Zagreb, where he completed secondary music school at the Blagoje Bersa Music School, in the class of Prof. Ana Horvat-Štula.
During his education, he regularly participates in domestic and international competitions, among which the national competitions of the Croatian Society of Music and Dance Pedagogues and the international Varaždin Woodwind&Brass competition stand out. He is a four-time winner of the HDGPP first prize in the solo category (2016, 2018, 2020 and 2022), once in the chamber ensemble category (2021), and three times he won the prize at the international Varaždin Woodwind&Brass competition (2016, 2019 and 2021).
He is a two-time winner of the Oscar of Knowledge for achievements in music (2018 and 2022), winner of the Professor Balthazar award of the City of Zagreb for successes in competitions (2022), and the Croatian Composers' Association award for the best performance of a work by a Croatian author at the 58th Darko Lukić Tribune (2024).
After graduating from high school, he went to Vienna, where he continued his artistic training and participated in numerous orchestral and chamber projects, gradually building his professional profile as a versatile and promising young clarinetist.
