
The Croatian House Split is entering the 2024/2025 concert season with an ambitious program marked by a series of anthological musical names, but also numerous benefits for the audience.
The new season at the Ivo Tijardović Concert Hall brings more than 70 concerts and other musical events within 5 different cycles , 5 cycle subscriptions with special benefits for retirees and people under 30 , a unique cultural subscription "Tesserakt" in which visitors create their own season, and an extremely rich program for children and youth as part of the Concert Laboratory , which this season also includes a specially created subscription for children.

The season is divided into 5 cycles - the Classical Music cycle , which includes a total of 20 concerts, Jazz music with 13 concerts, World and Popular Music with a total of 17 concerts, Traditional Music with 6 concerts by Split cultural and artistic societies, and the Split Circle , which brings 12 concerts by Split musicians, or evenings by Split composers, as well as the "Jakov Gotovac" Young Musicians Cycle , which is conceived as a platform that provides young musicians with the opportunity to gain concert experience beyond academic productions, thus contributing to their affirmation on the local and national scene, with a key emphasis on performing living Croatian authors (the application deadline is September 30).
"The ceremonial opening of the 2024/2025 season will begin with a dedication to one of the most important Split composers of recent times - Petar Bergamo, performed by the HRT Choir and conductor Tomislav Fačini on October 5, 2024 at 8 p.m. Bergamo excelled in all aspects of the female choir's vocals in the collection of seven madrigals Spiriti eccellenti, to which this performance owes its name. The magnificent verses of the poetess Marina Čapalija overflow into the splendor of madrigalism in this masterpiece of Croatian choral literature," emphasizes director Vanesa Kleva.
The continuation of the CLASSICAL MUSIC cycle will feature the Goldmund String Quartet, Trio Elogio – guitar trio, Ana Vidović – guitar, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra with Đana Kahrim, Dialogos Ensemble with Katarina Livljanić, Virtuosi of La Scala with Greta Doveri – soprano, Split Virtuosi with guests, Yoav Levanon – piano, Vienna Hofburg Orchestra, Valentina Fijačko – soprano with Marija Čopora – piano, Alissa Margulis – violin & Andreas Frölich – piano, Zoran Dukić – guitar, Papandopulo Quartet, Georgia Balabini – soprano & Mislav Režić – classical and electric guitar, Ilaria Loatelli – piano, Elision Ensemble (performing works by Liza Lim), Ljubomir Puškarić – baritone & Darijan Ivezić – piano, and Martina Filjak – piano & Monika Leskovar – cello.
The WORLD AND POPULAR MUSIC cycle brings music from films and musicals, tango, flamenco, fado, sevdah and other interesting concepts , and the Split audience will be presented with Sergio Gómez "El Colorao" for World Flamenco Day, Bad Daughter - Dunja Ercegović, SAX-UMAS Ensemble & Andy Scott, saxophone with guests as part of the Moondog 25! project, Lina with Fado Camões; Danijela Pintarić - soprano & Darko Domitrović - piano, Ivanka Mazurkijević with Stampedo, Kemal Gekić - piano and Rambo Amadeus, narrator through the project "Death of Smile-age Čengić", Sara Renar - Bal pod maskakama, Swedish singer-songwriter Jay-Jay Johanson, Zoran Predin with his trio, flamenco singer El Pele, Mostar Sevdah Reunion, ReEncuentros Tango project and The Percussion Club.
The JAZZ MUSIC cycle is characterized by an exceptionally rich program that brings, among other things, a silent film microcycle with the projects "Andalusian Dog" Dalí 120! performed by the Histriatria Project trio and Mickey Mouse & Charlie Chaplin : Marko Zupan - flute, Tonči Tranfić - piano, Goran Cetinić Koća - guitar, Piero Malkoč - double bass and Boris Žuvela - drums. Within the cycle, the Split audience will also be presented with the Cool Jazz Duo, Mateo Đikić and Lela Kaplowitz with the HRT Jazz Orchestra with the project Happy Birthday Frank Sinatra, Emmet Cohen trio, Elvis Stanić with the concert "French Tourch", Dhafer Youssef & Eivind Aarset, Je Veux - Željka Veverec, Joe Kaplowitz, Zvjezdan Ružić and at the end of the cycle Ratko Zjača Triology for World Jazz Day.
SPLIT CIRCLE brings interesting musical projects such as the staging of the musical play "Journey to Shanghai" by I. Tijardović performed by KO "Tijardović" Split under the baton of Hari Zlodra and directed by Ivan Leo Lema, "Ciclo Continuo", a concert by last year's winners of the Ivo Tijardović Concert Hall Award Gordan Tudor - saxophone and Mislav Režić - guitar, "From the Marulić Era to Split Modernism / Marulić 500!" performed by Mijo Jurišić, a champion of drama & the Split Guitar Quartet, a concert by Ana Domančić - flute & Violeta Smailović - violin, a concert by Loris Grubišić - violin & Jadranka Garin - piano, an author's evening by Ivan Božičević, the Image Flute Quartet, the Željko Milić Quintet and an author's evening by Vlado Sunko with the Brodosplit City Choir.
The following will be performed in the TRADITIONAL MUSIC CYCLE: Two Mists – Love is the Same – Žrnovnica Brass Band; Mandolina Croata – GMD Sanctus Domnio; Dević sings Advent – KUD Filip Dević; Advent Concert – Brodosplit City Choir; Dević sings about love – KUD Filip Dević; Heritage Evening – FA Jedinstvo; Music Dances – Split Music.
As part of the CONCERT LABORATORY, new performances are being staged – Regoč, IB Mažuranić 150! / opera for children; Aunt Operetta's Musical Time Machine / interactive performance for children; Peća and the Wolf, S. Prokofiev / musical fairy tale, as well as a whole series of new workshops. More information can be found on the Concert Laboratory website.
This season, the Concert Laboratory allows children to participate continuously throughout the school year through a special subscription that includes 4 performances , 4 workshops, 2 classical concerts , 2 Behind the Scenes workshops and a Cultural Show , which entitles children and young people to a 70% discount when purchasing concert tickets one hour before the concert. The diverse selection of subscriptions was created in accordance with the feedback from the Voice of the Audience 2024 survey conducted by the Croatian House at the end of the previous concert season. Cycle subscriptions include packages of 8 to 12 concerts with discounts of 50% , 60% for pensioners and 70% for young people up to 30 years of age. Young people, for example, can sign up for a subscription of 8 concerts within the Split Circle for just €36 or a world and popular one for €53, or a classic of 12 concerts for €72. All subscribers to the Croatian House Split in the 2024/2025 season are entitled to two invitations to the traditional New Year's Ball in the Ivo Tijardović Concert Hall on December 27th, as well as a 20% discount on all concerts in the season, regardless of whether or not the discounts apply to a specific concert.
NEW! Starting this season, all tickets and subscriptions can be purchased without additional fees at the box office of the Croatian House Split at Tončićeva 1 from Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 13 pm and one hour before the concert.
