The classical music cycle features Italian pianist Alessandro Deljavan, an artist of distinct individuality and an international career that has taken him to concert stages across Europe, Asia, and the United States. Dedicated to the piano from an early age, Deljavan has won numerous awards at prestigious international competitions throughout his career and has performed with orchestras such as the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, the Boston Philharmonic, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, and the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra.
The Split audience is presented with the program Between Intimacy and Brilliance , which traces the development of the piano sonata and concert etude from classicist architecture to romantic imagination.
Haydn's Sonata in E flat major, Hob. XVI:52, the composer's last and most extensive piano sonatas, combines formal clarity, wit, and exceptional pianistic inventiveness. Beethoven's Sonata in E minor, Op. 90, opens the door to his late creative period, replacing the classical juxtaposition of themes with a highly personal and lyrical musical narrative.
The second part of the concert features Chopin's Etudes, Op. 25 – a cycle in which technical virtuosity ceases to be an end in itself and becomes a means of poetic expression. In Deljavan's interpretation, this demanding repertoire completes the concert arc from classicist precision to full romantic freedom and brilliance.
Alessandro Deljavan, a pianist of Italian-Persian descent, began learning the piano before the age of two and gave his first public performances at the age of three. Since then, he has built a rich international career, performing in numerous European countries, the United States, Asia, and South America.
He has won awards at a number of international piano competitions, including the Concours musical de France, Hummel Competition, Gina Bachauer Young Artist Competition, Isangyun Competition, and Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.
As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras such as the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Philharmonic, the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, the Israel Camerata Orchestra, and the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra. He has appeared at numerous international festivals, and in chamber music, he has collaborated with ensembles such as the Takács Quartet, Sine Nomine, and Brentano.
His discography includes more than 80 albums released for a number of international record companies. In 2021, he founded his own publishing house, AERAS Music Group, for which, among other things, he published Bach's Goldberg Variations and an album of Liszt's works.
He graduated from the "Giuseppe Verdi" Conservatory in Milan and the Gaetano Braga Institute in Teramo, and trained at the International Piano Academy Lake Como and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and other international academies and seminars. In addition to his concert activity, he is intensively engaged in pedagogy. He is a member of the teaching team of the International Piano Academy Lake Como, and since October 2026 he has been appointed piano professor at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold.
