Today, Detour is recognizable among fans of high-quality, contemporary, electro-acoustic pop sound.
Until the beginning of 2006, this music group led by author, arranger, producer and guitarist Nenad Borgudan operated under the name Yammat, but after parting ways with the manager at the time, they continued their musical journey under the name 'Detour'.
Their strength is not only in the latest singles but also in older songs such as "Summer starts", "Mjesec", "Gledano sa strane" and "Prijatelj" which were on their first two studio albums 'Detour' and 'TV'. Nevertheless, the third studio album "And what if I..." proved to be groundbreaking in their previous activities, catapulting them into the status of a major regional musical pop attraction, giving them the title of 'flagship of new wave pop'. At the same time, a large number of concert performances opened for them, which brought numerous awards. The album, carried by the hit titles "Srce veliko", "Snijeg", "Daleko" and "Plešem sama", secured Detour top places in most annual music contests, and Porina for the best pop album in 2014.
At the beginning of 2016, Nenad signed perhaps the most successful work in his authorship, the song 'Zaljubila sam se', which ravaged the domestic charts, receiving recognition for the most played song on the radio that year by the Croatian Discography Association. In 2017, they also won the Porin music award with it in the categories Song of the Year and Best Performance by a Group with Vocals. The members of Detour can boast of the group of the year award in 2016, which, along with the sold-out concert in Zagreb's Culture Factory, was the best possible way to mark the celebratory ten years of activity. It was followed by the promotion of the acclaimed album 'DETOUR 10', which offered a new reading of the group's famous songs, recorded in refreshed and changed arrangements.
After 'Zaljubila sam se', the fifth studio album 'Tourdetour' successfully presented himself with the song 'Biram' - nominated for Porin in the categories Song of the Year, Best Performance by a Group with Vocals and Best Video - continues with the hit single 'Bez tebe', and 'Weekend' and 'Skrivena'. Music critics ranked it at the very top of the best albums in 2018.
The people of Detour will definitely remember the end of 2018 because of the biggest concert in their career held in the Small Hall of the Sports Hall, which was preceded by great sold-out concerts in Tvornica kulture, Vintage Industrial Bar and KD 'Vatroslav Lisinski' with the group Pavel.
The beginning of 2019 brings them new recognitions, where with the current album 'Tourdetour' they won the award in the Pop&off category at the 'Rock&Off' journalistic music award, and they were not left empty-handed at the Porin music award either, winning in the categories for 'Pop album of the year' and 'Best Performance by a Group with Vocals'. The electro-pop 'Ima i nema' and the vintage acoustic ballad 'Slike o nasem danim' are the singles that closed this extremely successful musical material.
Nenad continues to confirm his creativity and authorial virtuosity through the latest singles 'Šarena', 'Slavlje', 'Hawaii' and 'Klaun', which opened the story of the sixth studio album. In 2022, they perform for the first time at the Zagreb Festival and win with the song 'Once upon a time it was better', which according to the votes of the expert jury and radio editors gathered in Croatia from the radio publishers' association HURIN, was declared the best song of this renowned music event.
After 17 years of work with the song 'Master Blaster', the Detours are going to Dora for the first time, the Croatian song selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, and with their performance and performance they leave a striking impression by winning third place.
In 2023, with the release of the sixth studio album 'Master Blaster' in May they held a long-awaited big concert in the Boogaloo club in Zagreb, which was followed by a regional tour that is still going on.
