The interactive music workshop Camille Saint-Saëns Carnival of Animals: From Idea to Composition will bring the composer's calling closer to the students of the course through a fantastic suite loved by classical music lovers of all ages. How Camille Saint-Saëns got the idea for this zoological fantasy, which existing compositions inspired him, which musical quotations he used and which of the contemporary composers his work left a mark on, the audience will find out by actively participating in the performance of the selected pieces. They will imitate the slow gait of elephants and adopt the meter, dance the kankan in different tempos, outline the melody with their movements and enrich the original composition with body music. During the performance, audience members are not passive observers, but actively participate in the performance through dance and body music, and are encouraged to express their knowledge, experiences and critical thinking.
