Stockholm Chamber Brass is one of the world's leading brass chamber ensembles, founded in 1988 when five young Swedish musicians came together with the idea of ​​making music together. That same year, they won first prize at the International Brass Quintet Competition in Narbonne, launching their more than thirty-five-year international career.

The ensemble is particularly dedicated to developing new repertoire for brass quintet and has commissioned over 50 new compositions, many of which have become an important part of the contemporary brass repertoire. They have recorded six acclaimed albums, ranging from classical works for quintet to contemporary commissions and Renaissance repertoire, and regularly perform at leading festivals and concert stages around the world.

A large part of their work is also devoted to teaching. The ensemble members teach at prestigious European music academies, hold masterclasses and run their own Stockholm Chamber Brass Academy , confirming their status as an ensemble that simultaneously nurtures a top performing tradition, contemporary creativity and the education of new generations of musicians.
