This year's fourteenth edition of the international Classical Guitar Days festival begins with a concert for the Split audience by the well-known guitarist Srđan Bulat.
Srđan is the winner of the highest awards at almost all the world's most prestigious classical guitar competitions: 'Francisco Tarrega' in Benicassim, 'Michele Pittaluga' in Alessandria, 'Fernando Sor' in Rome, 'Julian Arcas' in Almeria, 'Alhambra' in Valencia, 'Gredos San Diego' in Madrid, 'Maurizio Biasini' in Bologna. He has also won numerous special awards at these competitions, among which the award for the best interpretation of Spanish music stands out. He is the recipient of almost all domestic awards for young artists; winner of the 'Ferdo Livadić' competition and the 'Darko Lukić' Tribune, and the annual 'Ivo Vuljević' award. He has played as a soloist with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the Split Chamber Orchestra, the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, the "Cantus" ensemble, the "Vivaldi" orchestra from Alessandria and the Valencia Opera Orchestra, and has held numerous solo recitals around the world. He has released three studio albums, for the Spanish radio and television RTVE, the reputable Naxos record label, and the latest studio album 'Timeless Soundscapes' released in May 2024.
