"They say we are very cheerful, with a rich sound, we are fueled by mambo, swing, tango, ska, Afro pop, Dalmatian, Macedonian and other melodies. Our only wish has always been... to have fun together. So far, we have succeeded in doing so, in the hope that we will continue to do so."

This is how the members of Stampede talk about their music. Since cabaret as a genre is characterized by multimedia and interdisciplinary nature, it is not surprising that their joyful play with sounds blends harmoniously with the genre characteristics of cabaret, which differs from other genres in its specific form, content and place of performance. Cabaret takes place in spaces such as cafes, bars and clubs with improvised scenes and, if necessary, a little scenography, the circumstances are completely different from the theater, and yet the performers often came from the theater milieu. The audience is relaxed and involved in the event, and the atmosphere is not dedicated to theatrical seriousness. Cabaret is based on reality and current events, often inspired by newspaper articles. The cabaret form includes short episodes, sketches, jokes, songs and other performances, connected by a common theme. The illusion of the stage is often broken, emphasizing reality and interaction with the audience, who are invited to participate and react, while the improvisation of the performers adapts the program depending on the audience's reactions. Acting in the moment, reacting to the reality that surrounds us, playing with the relationships of the audience's acquired knowledge, deconstructing and throwing them out of balance, leading the audience to emotional and intellectual engagement - these are all characteristics of a good cabaret that Stampedo successfully navigates. Although Stampedo does not completely take over the expression of cabaret, but only leans on it, this concert, as well as numerous cabaret performances, fulfill multiple therapeutic functions, or in short: "everything that cheers up and helps a small being to enjoy this tragically short life to the fullest".

Stampedo is a cabaret-oriented band with six released albums that successfully flirts with various genres such as: mambo, swing, samba, tango, ska, Afro pop, Dalmatian, French and Macedonian chansons, and other melodies in a large pop-rock melting pot.

The group was founded in 1995 under the leadership of Javor Jeić, the author of all the songs and lyrics of the first three albums. The band has had about thirty traveling musicians and countless guests. Awards have been pouring in since the very beginning of their activities: in 1996, the promo single Stampedo was released for "Tutico". The video of the same name was directed by Jasna Zastavniković and received the "Oktavijan" award at the Croatian Film Festival. 1998. The full-length album "Cirkus Stampedo u predstavi Tandara Mandara" was released. 1999. Stampedo won the "Crni mačić" award and was nominated for the alternative album of the year "Porin". 2000. The album "Romantično ljetovanje za dvije (2) osobe" was released. What is interesting and little known is that in 2001, the "Ondo Records" publishing house from Japan bought the first album and released it in 50000 copies. 2002. The third full-length album "Pau Pau" was released. In 2008, the fourth full-length album "Možda svračno" was released for Aquarius records, on which all band members have their own original compositions.

The current line-up of the band consists of prominent multidisciplinary creatives – Ivanka Mazurkijević , Stanko Kovačić , Nikola Crnković and Danijel Šuljić.
