Chamber Jam brings together five international musicians in a program dedicated to tango, with a particular emphasis on the work of Astor Piazzolla and Marcelo Nisinman.
At the center of the ensemble is the bandoneon of Marcelo Nisinman, an Argentine composer and performer whose work continues the tradition of nueva tango, but shapes it with a distinctly personal compositional language. He is accompanied by violinist Daniel Rowland, pianist Natacha Kudritskaya, guitarist Alberto Mesirka, and double bassist Zoran Marković.
The program combines Nisinman's original compositions and arrangements with the works of Astor Piazzolla and the music of Carlos Gardel and other authors connected to the Argentine tango tradition. At its center are Piazzolla's cycles Suite del Ángel and Suite del Diablo , two dramatic contrasts that show the different faces of his musical world.
Suite del Ángel brings music marked by lyricism, melancholy and introspection, while Suite del Diablo opens up a darker, more dramatic and rhythmically powerful space. Between these two ensembles are original compositions by Marcel Nisinman and arrangements by Gardel and Piazzolla, creating a program that presents tango as an exceptionally rich chamber language.
The concert ends with a series of Piazzolla's iconic compositions, including Café 1930 , Kicho , Escualo and Violentango , arranged by Nisinman.
